Funders Forum

Given the continued need for behavior analysis-based services that are primarily funded by health insurance plans, it is imperative that behavior analysts have the knowledge and skills to effectively interact with the managed care system (e.g., creating quality assessment and treatment plans, collaborating in peer-review meetings). In collaboration with leaders from funder organizations, APBA has created a panel of funders to share their expertise, tips, tricks, and advice on how to navigate funding sources, treatment plans, appeals, and more in quarterly Funders Forum events.

The Funders Forum gives attendees a chance to submit de-identified practical questions and scenarios 1 week before the event date to a rotating panel of funders using an anonymous submission form. During the Funders Panel, attendees will hear the panelists discuss the submissions and provide their analyses, rationales, and opinions. 

In Quarter 4 of 2024 the panel will focus on common reasons for requesting and tips for navigating amendments and how to take a planful approach to planning for titration (decreases in services) and discharging clients from your services.
