APBA Webinar January 2025 HAPPY NEW YEAR! Navigating Some Barriers to Effective Supervision

Effective supervision is critical to the success of the profession of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) based services, yet it often comes with unique challenges. This presentation explores some common barriers that may make it difficult to provide high quality supervision, including contextual stressors, burnout, and failing to treat supervision as a committed, bi-directional relationship. We will also explore a few other barriers, such as limited resources and the complexities of providing feedback and managing difficult conversations. Attendees will learn about some strategies, resources, and tools to enhance their supervisory practices and hopefully leave with actionable insights to increase their positive impact on supervisees and the profession.
