Professional Bio
Shawnee started her career in 1999 as a Direct Support Professional working with adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. She is the Chief Operations Officer for Meridian, a company supporting organizations providing residential, vocational, day treatment, and ABA services for individuals with IDD. In her role, she primarily supports local teams with leadership development, person-centered planning, evidence-based interventions, competency-based training, and collaboration with external partners. For example, she works with local teams to evaluate client progress on current outcomes, ensure measurement systems are adequate for making decisions, and compliant with state/payor requirements. Shawnee is a member of the Utah Association for Behavior Analysis and has served on their board as President, President-Elect, Secretary, Member-At-Large, and Public Policy Committee Chair. Her research primarily focuses on staff training, treatment integrity, and performance management.
