We are excited and honored that you are considering a submission to our 15th Annual Convention – APBA Shine 2025! We strongly encourage submissions from professionals who are members of one or more historically marginalized/underrepresented groups, submissions that focus on improving the skills and knowledge of scientist-practitioners, and submissions that include data. Please read through everything on this page before beginning your submission process. Shine on!

SUBMISSION PROCESSPlease read the submission types and requirements carefully to ensure that you are prepared to meet the requirements for your selected submission type (e.g., required data, citations, active participation, having a discussant). Pay close attention to bolded language, as those indicate required elements. If you have multiple individuals delivering content during the presentation (e.g., applied demos or technical descriptions, panels, skill shares, symposium, workshop), one primary individual can complete the submission.

Tips & Considerations BEFORE Submission:

  • Write your title, abstract, and learning objectives in a document ahead of time, then just copy and paste into the submission fields.

  • Think about the content in your submission and evaluate if it meets the BACB® requirements for CEUs and what type.

  • Your submission will be streamlined if you ensure that all presenters included in your submission have BehaviorLive accounts that include a photo and a bio before you submit.

  • Ensure that you have the correct email address (i.e., the one linked to their BehavorLive account) for each presenter.

  • You can save your submission as a draft, exit, go gather information, and re-open your submission at a later time. If you save a submission as a draft, be sure to go back and in to complete and finalize the submissions, as drafts will not be reviewed.

  • Ensure that you and your co-presenters meet the Requirements for Accepted Submissions (see bullets under “Submission Acceptance” section below).

Requirements for Accepted Presentations:

  • all presenters must be active APBA members at the time of presentation

  • all presenters must be present in-person at the convention (Dallas) for their presentations
