Q3 Funders Forum
Event Details
Given the continued need for behavior analysis-based services that are primarily funded by health insurance plans, it is imperative that behavior analysts have the knowledge and skills to effectively interact with the managed care system (e.g., creating quality assessment and treatment plans, collaborating in peer-review meetings). In collaboration with leaders from funder organizations, APBA has created a panel of funders to share their expertise, tips, tricks, and advice on how to navigate funding sources, treatment plans, appeals, and more in quarterly Funders Forum events.
The Funders Forum gives attendees a chance to submit de-identified practical questions and scenarios 1 week before the event date to a rotating panel of funders. During the Funders Panel, attendees will hear the panelists discuss the submissions and provide their analyses, rationales, and opinions. This portion of the Panel will never be recorded.
The quarterly Funders Forum panels are 1 hour and 30 minutes long. The first 30 min will be dedicated to discussing content related to the quarterly panel topic(s). Live or on-demand attendees can receive 0.5 Learning CEUs by completing live check-ins or an on-demand quiz. In the second hour the expert panel will discuss pre-submitted questions.
This month the topic(s) are assessment, treatment goals, treatment plan and how to include information about discharge planning.
